KARACHI, (APP): Brisk Shipping activity was recorded at
the Port where six ships C.V CMA CGM Otello, C.V Kim, M.V New Legend ruby, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Onaiza and M.T N. Mars, carrying containers,
Project cargo, Chemicals.
LNG and Diesel oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container
Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Engro Elegy Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday, March, 23 2016.
Meanwhile LPG carrier `Liberty-N’ also arrive at outer anchorage
of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 60% on Wednesday
where a total of nine ships namely C.V CMA CGM Otello, C.V Kimi. M.V
New Legend Ruby, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.V Gloden Wish, M.T Onaiza, M.T
N. Mars, M.T Prosperity, and M.T Maria are currently occupying berths
to load/offload Containers, Project cargo, Chemicals, LNG and Diesel,
Palm oil and S.F seeds respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 167,847 tonnes,
comprising 114,799 tonnes imports and 53,048 tonnes exports, inclusive
of containerized cargo carried in 5,480 Containers (TEUs) was handled
at the Port.
Departures:
Three ships CMA CGM Otello, M.T Maria and M.T Prosperity sailed
out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships M.V Gloden Wish
and M.T N. Mars are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Arrival Schedule:
Two ships C.V Mehuin and M.V Diamond Sun scheduled to
load/offload Containers and Cement are expected to take berths at
Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on
Thursday, 24th March- 2016, while two more container ships `Rio
Madeira’ and `hansa America’ are due to arrive at Port Qasim on
Friday, 25th March and C.V MSC Antalya is due to arrive on Saturday,
26th March-2016.
