GILGIT: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has on Thursday sent a clear message to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian intelligence agency RA&W that Pakistan s borders are completely secured, reported Dunya News.
Addressing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Conference in Gilgit, COAS said that he completely understood the games being played by the enemies. He added that Pakistan was prepared to defend its borders.
“CPEC will be completely safe, from Rawalpindi to Khanjrab”, he said.
General Raheel Sharif also said that corruption would be eradicated from Pakistan under any condition. He cleared upon Modi and RA&W that Pakistan s borders were impregnable.
The army chief said that the corruption-terrorism nexus will be broken under any condition. “We ll go to any lengths in order to ensure CPEC s security. No matter what the world says, fact is that it is a matter of our survival”, he added.
