Canada moves to repeal law that revokes citizenship in terror cases

OTTAWA, Feb 25 (APP/AFP): Canada’s Liberals moved Thursday to end the stripping of citizenship of dual nationals convicted of terrorism, treason or spying, or who belong to any group fighting the nation.
The amendment to the Citizenship Act — which will also restore the
citizenship of the only person ever stripped of it after being convicted in a terror plot — was promised by the Liberals during last year’s legislative
elections.
