Cyprus, Jordan sign agreements for cooperation in various sectors
Nicosia., (MILLAT ONLINE)::Cyprus and Jordan on Tuesday signed bilateral agreements on economic and technical cooperation, mutual academic recognition of higher education qualifications, public health and the medical science, as well as agriculture and rural development.
The agreements were signed by ministers of the two countries, in the presence of Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and the King of Jordan Abdullah II, on the sidelines of the “Trilateral Summit among Cyprus, Greece and Jordan” taking place at the Presidential Palace, in Nicosia, says CNA.
Prior to the signing of the agreement, Anastasiades and Abdullah had a private meeting that was followed by expanded talks between delegations of the two countries.
The Foreign Ministers of the two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the governments of the Republic of Cyprus and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Cyprus Minister of Education and the Foreign Minister of Jordan signed an agreement on Mutual Academic Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications. Cyprus Minister of Health and the Foreign Minister of Jordan signed a Protocol of Cooperation in the field of Public Health and Medical Science.
Cyprus Agriculture Minister and the Foreign Minister of Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment and Jordan`s Ministry of Agriculture in the fields of Agriculture and Rural Development.
