Hong Kong stocks open higher after oil’s rise

HONG KONG, (APP/AFP) – Hong Kong stocks advanced
at the open on Friday as gains on Wall Street and a rise in the oil price boosted sentiment, while shares in China dipped slightly.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.24 percent, or 56.4 points, to 23,079.56
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.12 percent, or 3.72
points, to 3,100.39, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, was flat, edging down 0.08 percent, or 1.57 points, to 2,040.65.
