ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (APP): National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) has completed overall 80 per cent construction work on 145 kilometer long 500 kV Neelum Jhelum Double Circuit Transmission Line for evacuation of 969 MW power from Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Plant. Official sources told APP here Friday that 412 out of 426 tower foundations have been completed and while 359 towers have also been erected. Similarly 36 km out of 145 km stringing of conductor has also been completed, they added. They said the construction work of transmission line was divided into three Lots i.e. LOT-I, LOT-II & Lot-III. Major construction work and activities include : Right of way clearance, Foundations, Erections and Stringing of Towers as per the prescribed design, they said.
