9 bodies of plane crash victims handed over to family members

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT+APP): Administrator Pakistan Institute of
Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital Dr. Altaf Hussain Saturday said
nine identified bodies have been handed over to family members
of PIA plan crash victims.
Talking to media, he said DNA samples of family
members of all Pakistani victims of the Pakistan International
Airlines (PIA) plane crash have been collected.
He said efforts are being made for early handing over of
bodies to their family members as 47 bodies have been
shifted while their family members are also coming to hospitals
for the DNA tests.
He said the DNA tests procedure would be started after
completion of sample collection of victims and their family members.
He said besides PIMS hospital experts, technical assistance
from other laboratories will also be obtained for having proper
identification of all victims through the DNA tests.
Administrator PIMS said at least six days are required for the
result of the DNA tests, after that the government would ensure
handing over of all bodies to their family members.
He said PIMS staff would continue its working till completion
of data sampling of all family members of victims.
