AJK elections set new political trend in country: Barjees

ISLAMABAD,(APP): Federal Minister for Gilgit Baltistan
and Kashmir Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir on Friday said
the recent election results in AJK had set a new political trend in
Pakistan.
The opposition parties those bite the dust in AJK elections
were now worried about their political future, he said.
In a statement, the minister said one political party had not
only removed its leadership in AJK but also replaced its Chief
Minister in Sindh province after a bad defeat in AJK polls.
He said the opposition parties should come up with a vision of
serving the nation rather than doing politics of demonstration and
sit-in.
The political parties should remove corruption and
mismanagement in their affairs to attract the public, he said.
The opposition parties, Barjees said, could avoid bad defeat
in next elections after following the vision of PML-N leadership and
ensuring self-accountability.
He said the AJK was rich in natural resources and it could be
strengthened economically through the good governance.
The minister said his party government in AJK would ensure
transparency and good governance for the welfare of masses.
