Gilani concerned over crackdown on youth in IOK

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani in Indian Occupied Kashmir has expressed his concern over the fresh crackdown and nocturnal raids against youth by Indian forces.
According to Kashmir Media Service , Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Youth in valley especially Karimabad Pulwama, Tral, Hajin, Handwara are detained and subjected to third degree torture in police stations.”
He termed the rhetoric of “Goli Nahi Boli” as hoax and said PDP stands badly exposed on ground and the party can no more befool people.
He cautioned the puppet administration that if the arrests and harassment of youths is not stopped forthwith, it will have serious repercussions and all the responsibility will be on the shoulders of PDP and the police.
“People all over the world protest against excesses and for their judicious demands, but Jammu & Kashmir is the only exception to this rule where the peaceful protesters are welcomed and showered with bullets, pellets and other deadly weapons, and the so-called civilian government instead of opposing it, overtly and covertly encourages this autocratic behaviour of forces,” he said.
The APHC chairman said by choking the peaceful means of protest and denying democratic and basic rights to Kashmiri people, Indian authorities are flouting the norms of a democratic country.
Terming the role of PDP as filthy, deceitful and sorrowful, Gilani said, “These people gained votes on ‘Goli Nahi Boli’, ‘release of political prisoners’, ‘return of power projects’ and against RSS and their fanatical dogma and slogans but later betrayed the people and did absolutely contrary to all what they had promised during their election campaign. They are power hungry people and for that purpose they can go to any extent.”
He condemned the arrest of five youth Baber Ahmad, Zahoor Ahmad, Raffia Abdullah, Zubairul Islam, Merajud Din and unabated use of teargas shelling and deadly pellet guns in Karimabad Pulwama. He also condemned the ransacking and vandalising of properties and thrashing of elderly inmates during night raids.
Meanwhile, Syed Ali Gilani strongly condemned the continued detention of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mohammad Ashraf Laya, Shah Wali Mohammad and said that Bashir Ahmad Qureshi and Ghulam Mohammad Shah were detained in jail since past one month without any justification. He also expressed deep concern over the continued detention of Manzoor Ahmad Najar, Basharat Ahmad Mir and Aashiq Hussain Butt who are languishing in jail for the past five years.
