JRL calls for shutdown against braid chopping on Monday

ISLAMABAD, Oct 8 (APP):The Joint resistance leadership has called for shutdown on Monday against the braid chopping incidents in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service(KMS), the leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement termed the rising incidents of braid chopping a conspiracy.
The leadership appealed to the people to observe complete shutdown to protest disgraceful acts against women.
“Let us convey a message to these miscreants that in no way we will give up our resistance and that we will pursue the right to self-determination movement more vigorously,” the leaders said, adding, “Unity and steadfastness is need of the hour to make every such mischievous ploy a failure.”
Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar was arrested during a police raid on his house. Gulzar was arrested from his house, last evening and was taken to some unknown location. APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani has strongly condemned the police action.
