KARACHI, Oct 27 (APP): Director General of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Sindh, Muhammad Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui following the verbal directives of the Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed regional directors to close/discontinue all liquor licenses in the province. According to a communique issued here on Thursday, after verbal directives of SHC in CP # D-5750, 2919, 5097 and 5226 of 2016 during hearing dated 27-10-2016, all liquor licenses (Trade and Import of potable liquor and retail of liquor) of Sindh are hereby closed/discontinued with immediate effect. All regional directors are directed to ensure the closure of all liquorshops in entire province. They are further advised to ensure the fulfillment of all legal formalities and possession of all legal documents/licenses before the closures of liquor shops.
