Mend your ways or face music: Er Rasheed to Indian Army

ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT/APP): The member of so-called Kashmir
Assembly and Awami Ittehad Party Chief, Engineer Abdur Rasheed has
warned the Indian Army to mend its behavior or be prepared to face
mass resistance.
Engineer Rasheed in a statement issued in Srinagar said that
he deferred the proposed program of stopping the army convoy on
Baramulla-Kupwara highway after getting assurance from the
district and army administration that such incident would not be
repeated, KMS reported.
Indian troops staged hooliganism at Super Naghama on Sunday
and subjected many people to torture without any provocation.
The statement quoting Rasheed said, “Hooliganism at Super
Naghama is the second incident during last two months and is
absolutely intolerable and un-acceptable. It would be in the
interest of army not to unnecessarily provoke masses, who are
already running out of patience due to the state terrorism and in
absence of any credible and transparent accountability.”
Rasheed said that army must know that J&K is a dispute and
they can’t rule at the barrel of gun by simply finding themselves
at liberty to kill Kashmiris or hit them with pellets and bullets.
“The forces in Kashmir seem to have got encouraged from the
activities of the Hindutva forces in UP and have started
harassing, humiliating, torturing and killing Kashmiris,” he
added.
Rasheed said that Indian army and other paramilitary forces
hate Kashmiris only for being Muslims.
