ISLAMABAD: (APP): Paigham-e-Islam conference was organized in Islamabad in which the Ulemas termed the terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as “Khawarijis”,
According to details, the conference featured Ulemas from across the country. Palestinian Grand Mufti Ahmad Hussain was also present on the occasion as week.
The release of the conference, announcing Daesh as Khawarijis, stated that those who claimed the lives of innocent people have nothing to do with Islam.
“Those attack schools and seminaries cannot be Muslims”, the release stated. The conference called for protection of all schools.
They Ulemas also condemned fatwas stopping women from acquiring education. They also lambasted terrorist incidents taking place in the Muslim countries
They urged that problems between Muslim countries should be resolved with bilateral negotiations.
The Ulemas lauded the role of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and General Raheel Sharif in defusing the tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
