Pakistan will never back out from its principled stance on Kashmir: Analysts

ISLAMABAD, Feb 8 (APP): Analysts have said that Kashmir was a jugular
vein of Pakistan so it would never back out from its principled stance on the issue.
Talking in Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs programme,
defence analyst Dr Muhammad Khan said: “The nation observes 5th
February as Kashmir Solidarity Day each year to assure its support to the people of Kashmir who have been fighting for their rights since 1947.”
“In my view the international community is pursuing dual policies as
the Kashmir and Palestine issues are still unresolved whereas the issue of North Sudan and many others were resolved promptly,” he added.
He said it was a fact that the world powers had not paid required
attention to the Kashmir issue.
India, he said, herself took up this matter to the forum of the United
Nations but, was not implementing its resolutions.
Expert international affairs Dr. Talat Wizarat said the unresolved Kashmir issue was one of the oldest on the UN agenda.
Indian forces had imposed draconian laws in the occupied valley,
where innocent women were being raped and children killed, he added.
He said Pakistan wanted to maintain peaceful relations with India,
but there were some elements in New Delhi who were pursuing the fundamentalist approach.
Former ambassador Fauzia Nasreen said that Pakistan had always played its positive role for dialogue with India on the issue of Kashmir.
Kashmiri people were continuously struggling for their rights and
freedom and Pakistan supported them in their struggle, she added.
She said that Pakistan’s stance on the issue was very logical, which might lead to peaceful resolution of the dispute.
India has to show the flexibility and must acknowledge the rights of
the Kashmiris, she emphasised.
