LAHORE, Feb 07 (APP): Federal Minister for Information,
Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on
Sunday condemned aerial firing outside the offices of private
local news channel, City 42, here.
The minister, in a statement, said the PML-N government
firmly believed in the freedom of expression and would continue
to safeguard the independence of media.
Pervaiz Rashid said the federal government, in close liaison
with all the provincial governments, was making all-out efforts to
ensure security and protection to the media persons as well as
the media houses.
