PMLN to continue its mass contact campaign leading up to elections

ISLAMABAD, (MMILLAT ONLINE):Pakistan Muslim League(N) will continue its mass contact campaign in coming weeks to gather support and build momentum for the upcoming general elections, to be held in July this year.
According to party sources, President of PMLN and thrice elected prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will spearhead the election campaign of the party and will be addressing a public meeting in Jaranwala coming Saturday. He will also go to Peshawar in the first week for February and will speak at a public meeting.
Nawaz Sharif has already held a number of public meetings in different parts of the country including meetings in Quetta, Kot Momim, Abbottabad and Haripur in the past weeks.
According to different surveys, PMLN is well positioned to win the next elections on the basis of its performance and mega projects.
The London based weekly Economist predicted in one of its recent report that PMLN would win the elections as it was buoyed by infrastructure investments and fairly smooth economic trajectory.
In its four and a half years, the federal government of PMLN successfully and considerably reduced terrorism incidents across the country and improved the security situation particularly in Karachi.
The party is also confident about its success as Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of the most populated Punjab province, carried out major development infrastructure projects including building of new hospitals, educational institutions, rural roads and power plants.
Nawaz Sharif has launched a “movement for justice” after his ouster from power caused by a Supreme Court decision on July 28 last year.
The party is in the process of building a narrative by agitating against the treatment meted out to all the previous democratically elected prime ministers who could not complete tenures and were pushed out of power unceremoniously.
In the public meetings, the party has been galvanizing its supporters by telling its version of the events that led to the ouster of Nawaz Sharif.
