PSQCA Technical Committee meets

KARACHI, (APP): The first meeting of the Technical
Committee (TC-7) for the adoption of ISO 18788:2015 Management System
for Private Security Operations (Requirements with Guidance for Use)
was conducted by Management System Standards Division held here on
Monday at Committee Room of PSQCA Complex.
An official of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control
Authority (PSQCA) said that the meeting was presided by Javed Akber
Riaz, Additional Director FIA (Anti-Corruption Circle) Karachi.
He said that the committee unanimously agreed upon the draft
Standard for Private Security Operations Requirements with Guidance
for use to be considered for Adoption / Harmonization as Pakistan
Standard.
The Chairman constituted three working groups Regulators,
Clients/Users, Security Companies with the mutual consensus of
house for their proposals/reviews and suggestions with the scope to
submit the report on the Harmonization of Draft Standard ISO
18788:2015 with the existing laws presently are being followed by all
`Private Security Companies’ in the country, such as Ordinance 2000
for security to find out the Standards of private security companies
and review of ISO 18788:2015 and submit recommendations/suggestions to
the mentioned standard requirements in simplified manner.
The chairman give deadline to all groups for the submission of
their report proposal and suggestions feedback on March 9 to the
Secretary office.
The same will be placed in the forthcoming TC meeting for final
consideration of the draft standard before adoption/harmonization.
The Chairman also appreciated keeping the national interest in
standards development process of PSQCA.
