ISLAMABAD, (APP): A meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-
N’s parliamentary board chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz
Sharif on Wednesday nominated Raja Farooq Haider as the next prime
minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting convened by Nawaz Sharif as head of the PML-N was
attended by federal PML-N leadership and the newly-elected members
of AJK’s Legislative Assembly, here at the PM House.
The PML-N is all set to form a government in AJK following
last week’s landslide victory. The party had swept the general
elections for the 49-seat AJK Legislative Assembly, bagging 31 seats
and a clear majority.
