Shabbir Shah spent major part of his life in jails: Saghar
ISLAMABAD, (MILLAT ONLINE):The Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has said that party Chairman, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has dedicated his entire life for the Kashmir cause and spent a major part of his life in jails.
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in a statement issued in Islamabad said, people in occupied Kashmir know it well that Shabbir Shah is being targeted for his just political stance about the Kashmir dispute, KMS reported.
He said, “First the so-called authorities started a false and fabricated campaign with sole motive to tarnish the public image and integrity of the party Chairman and later on he was booked under an old fake case which has already been decided by a court.”
He also expressed concern over deteriorating health of Shabbir Shah in New Delhi infamous Tihar Jail and said, “Instead of being provided better health care, he was being harassed by baseless charge-sheets.”
Mehmood Ahmed Saghar urged the world human rights organizations to take effective notice of Shabbir Shah’s declining health condition besides ensuring early and safe release of Shabbir Shah and other illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India and the occupied territory.
