Tokyo shares open lower on profit-taking

TOKYO, (APP/AFP): Tokyo shares opened more than one
percent lower Tuesday as investors turned to early morning profit-taking following the previous day’s massive jump.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange slipped
1.08 percent, or 173.11 points, to 15,849.47 in opening deals, retreating after closing up 7.16 percent on Monday.
The broader Topix index of all first-section shares declined 0.83
percent, or 10.75 points, to 1,281.48.
