FAISALABAD, Oct 20 (APP): General Secretary WAPDA Employees Power Union Mian Iftikhar Ahmed here on Thursday welcomed the two-scale upgradation of meter readers. During a meeting with a delegation of meter readers here on Thursday at Regional Officer of Power Union, he expressed deep concern over promotion criteria for old meter readers. He said they mostly retire from FESCO as a meter reader after serving the company for 30 to 35 years. He demanded the authority concerned approve Rs 5,000 allowance and motorcycles for meter readers. He said that 100% accuracy target was not possible because in most cases electricity meters are too high to take their photographs properly.
