LAHORE, Apr 5 (APP): Commissioner Overseas Pakistanis Commission
(OPC) Punjab Afzal Bhatti has said overseas Pakistanis are playing a
key role in strengthening national economy.
He said overseas Pakistanis are the real ambassadors of the country
who have won laurels for Pakistan through their hard work, around the
world.
Addressing participants of Road Show arranged by OPC Punjab in
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he said, OPC has been established on the special instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, and was playing an effective role to resolve the issues of overseas Pakistanis,
said a press release.
Afzal Bhatti said that purpose of this Road Show was to
redress the problems of overseas Pakistanis on the spot and
sensitize them about the functioning of OPC Punjab.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chairman OPC Capt (R) Khalid
Shaheen Butt said that overseas Pakistanis can contact OPC for
solution of their problems related to government agencies of
Punjab while committees have also been set up at district level
for quick redressal of the complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
He said an IT based modern system has been evolved for
the online registration of the complaints of overseas Pakistanis.
Hundred of Overseas Pakistanis living in Riyadh participated
in the Road Show.
