KARACHI, (APP): Brisk shipping was recorded at the Port
where six ships C.V MSC Charleston, C.V Mataquilo, M.V Tomini Harmony,
M.V Lalis-D, M.T Bahra and M.T Chemroad Haya carrying Containers, Soya
bean seeds, Coal Diesel oil Phosphoric Acid were allotted berths at
Qaim International container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro
Vopak Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 4th May-2016.
Meanwhile four more ships C.V Palena, M.V Star Delta, M.T Al-
Kharosoah and M.T Bungo Azaled with Containers, Coal, LNG and Palm oil
also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port of fifty three percent
on Thursday where a lola of eight ships namely, C.V MSC Charleston,
C.V Mataquito, C.V CMA CGM Attila, M.V Lalis-D, M.V Tomini Harmony,
M.T Wel Beck, M.T Bahra and M.T Chemroad Haya were occupied PQA berths
to load/offload Containers, Coal, Soya Bean seeds, Palm oil, Diesel
oil and Phosphoric Acid respectively during last 24 hours.
A record cargo handling was achieved at the Port where a cargo
volume of 156,039 tonnes, comprising 117,412 tonnes imports and 38,627
tonnes exports, inclusive of exports) was handled during last 24
hours.
Container vessel `Mataquilo’ sailed out to sea on Friday morning
while two more ships `MSC Charleston’ and `CMA CGM Attila’ are
expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V Uni Florida, C.V Palena, M.V Star Delta and M.T
Al-kharasaah carrying Containers, 30,000 lonnes Coal and 142440 Cubic
meters LNG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi
Purpose Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Friday, 6th
May-2016. while another ship M.V An African scheduled loload Cement is
due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, and three ships C.V Nicoline
Maersk, C.V MSC Althens and M.T Atlantic Glory with containers and
Chemicals are due to arrive on Saturday, 7th May-2016.
