LONDON, (APP/AFP) – Prime Minister David Cameron
said Friday that he would leave it to his successor to trigger the
formal process for Britain to leave the European Union.
“I think it’s right that this new prime minister takes the
decision about when to trigger Article 50,” Cameron said, after
announcing a timetable for his resignation following Britain’s
vote to leave the EU.
