Shipping activity at Port Qasim
KARACHI, Feb 26 (APP): Four ships C.V Sakaka, C.V Safemarine
Ngami, M.V Ocean Future and M.T Bung Angsana scheduled to load/offload
containers, cement and palm oil were arrange berthing at Qasim
International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid
Cargo Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
Meanwhile another ship with Containers also arrived at out Qasim
during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the port at fifty percent on
Tuesday where seven ships namely C.V Sealand Washington, C.V Sakaka,
C.V Safemarine Ngami, M.V Ocean Future, M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Bung
Angsana and M.T lahore are currently occupying berths to load /
offload containers, cement, chemicals, palm oil and furnace oil
respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 152,612 tonnes, comprises 95,755 tonnes imports
and 56,857 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in
4,828 containers (TEUs) (2,095 imports and 2,733 exports TEUs) were
handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Four ships C.V Sakaka, C.V Safemarine Ngami, M.T Atlantic Glory
and M.T Lahore sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning, while another
ship C.V Sealand Washington is expected to sail afternoon.
Two ships CMA CGM Belini and M.V Nord Tradition scheduled to
load/offload containers and 38,270 tonnes cement are expected to take
berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively
on Wednesday. While another container vessel 'Hugo Sochulte' is due to
arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
