Nomination papers of 13 candidates accepted for PP-18 by-elections

     ATTOCK, Jan 3 (APP): The Returning Officer (RO) has accepted
13 nominations for the By-election of PP-18, Attock-IV after the
completion of scrutiny process here on Tuesday. 
     Official sources told APP that a total of 14 candidates had
filed nomination papers to contest the By-election scheduled on
February 6.
     After the scrutiny, the Returning Officer Muhammad Nadeem
Khan had accepted nomination papers of 13 candidates including
Aman Khalid, Mustafaul Jameel of PPP, Malik Muhammad Azam, Malik
Muhammad Ali of PML-N, Malik Arshad Nawaz, Afzal Hussain, Malik
Amanut Khan, Muhammad Ashraf, Zubair Khan, Muhammad Saleem,
Shehzad Iqbal Bhatti, Bashir Ahmed and Muhammad Aslam Sheikh. 
     The nomination papers of PPP's candidate Malik Muhammad
Sameen Khan were rejected by the Returning Officer on Monday by
admitting the objections raised against him by an independent
candidate Bashir Ahmed, the sources said. 
     The date for filing appeals against the decisions of RO
regarding rejection and acceptance of the nominations is January
6, while the final decisions in this regard would be announced on
11th of this month.
     The last date for withdrawal of candidature is January 12,
after which, the final list would be displayed on January 13 at
the office of Assistant Election Commissioner.
