Shipping activity at Port Qasim

     KARACHI, Aug 30 (APP): Three ships carrying containers, LPG and
chemical were allotted berths on Qasim International Containers
Terminal, SSGC Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal on Wednesday.
     Meanwhile four more ships scheduled to load/offload containers,
diesel oil and furnace oil are also arrived at outer anchorage of
Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
     Berth occupancy was 85% at the Port Qasim on Thursday where total
number of nine ships namely MV. Verdi, MV. AMS Pegauses II, Shipphire
II, Outrivaling-2, SFL Kent, MV. Harsanadi, Came Lot, Olympic Serenity
and Fuji Galaxy are currently occupying berths to load/offload
containers, cement, rice corn, chemical, LPG, furnace oil and edible
oil respectively during last 24 hours.
     A cargo volume of 53,155 tonnes comprising 35,278 tonnes imports
and 17,877 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in
1,012 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
