PM directs to hold auction of CDA plots in abeyance
ISLAMABAD, Aug 30 (APP): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf Thursday
said that the government would never compromise on transparency and good
governance.
The Prime Minister made these observations while taking notice of a
news item appearing in a section of press regarding non-transparency in the
auction of commercial plots in Blue Area by Capital Development Authority.
The Prime Minister held a meeting with Cabinet Secretary
Ms. Nargis Sethi and Chairman CDA Engineer Farkhand Iqbal at the Prime Minister's House to ascertain facts of the case.
After discussing the matter in detail, the Prime Minister directed
that the process of auction be held in abeyance and that the Cabinet Secretary submit a detailed report within three days covering all aspects of the said auction.
