Parliamentarians call on PM
ISLAMABAD, Sept 4 (APP): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has urged the parliamentarians to reflect the aspirations of the people and the issues pertaining to their constituencies in the Parliament. He was talking to a group of parliamentarians, who called on him here at his Parliament House chamber on Tuesday. The Prime Minister said that criticism was essence of the parliamentary system but it should be directed for the betterment and improvement of the well-being of people. The Prime Minister said that he was holding regular meetings with the parliamentarians. Talking to MNA Nadeem Afzal Chan, MPA Waseem Afzal Chan and former MNA Afzal Chan, the Prime Minister hailed their invaluable services for the welfare of people and contribution in strengthening of PPP at the grassroots level. The Prime Minister directed release of funds for Sargodha Bar Council and Press Club. Minister for National Regulations and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan briefed the Prime Minister about the performance of her ministry. Special Assistant to Prime Minister Begum Shehnaz Wazir Ali informed the Prime Minister about the ECO (Economic Cooperation Organization) parliamentarians currently visiting Pakistan. MNAs Mehrin Anwar Raja, Tariq Anees and Tariq Tarrar apprised the Prime Minister about the problems being faced by the people of their constituencies.
