Coalition govt carries out unprecedented uplift projects: PM
ISLAMABAD, Sept 5 (APP): Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Wednesday said that the PPP-led coalition government has carried out unprecedented development projects despite competing financial compulsions during its tenure. He urged the parliamentarians to focus on the completion of ongoing development projects and said that he had already directed the Ministry of Finance to release the requisite funds. The Prime Minister was talking to the parliamentarians, who called on him separately at his chamber in the Parliament House. He told the parliamentarians that they should be proud of the fact they were part of the historic effort to restore the 1973 Constitution in its original form, which would herald a new beginning. The parliamentarians thanked the Prime Minister for his support and his keen interest in the welfare of the people. They also apprised him about the status of development projects in their respective areas. The parliamentarians, who called on the Prime Minister, included Members of the National Assembly Rafique Ahmad Jamil, Dr Muhammad Usman advocate, Nawab Ali Wassan, Syed Allaudin, Noor Alam Khan , Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Muhammad Tariq Anis, Dr Abdul Wahid Soomro, Riaz Fatyana, Salahuddin Dogar, Waseem Akhtar, Mrs Mehrunisa and Prince Mohiyuddin.
