Rehman directs enhanced security for Chinese in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD, Sep 11 (APP): Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik on Tuesday directed Inspector Generals of Police (IGPs), Islamabad and provinces to further enhance security and take special care of Chinese working in Pakistan on different development projects. He was chairing a meeting held here to review steps, taken for security of Chinese people working in Pakistan. Secretary Interior, Khawaja Siddique Akbar, Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Provincial Home Secretaries, Chief Commissioner Islamabad, IGPs of Islamabad and other provinces including Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) attended the meeting. Rehman Malik said Pakistan gives best value to its relations with China and their exemplary friendship is time-tested and progressing by leaps and bounds. He said Pakistan would never allow anyone to use its land against China and it will fully cooperate to root out the scourge of terrorism. On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador said that both the countries were making collaboration in various fields and in future this cooperation will further strengthen the ties between the two countries. He thanked the Minister for adopting measures to ensure security of Chinese working in different areas of Pakistan.
