Chairman Senate refers both Anti-terrorism amendments bills to
concerned standing body

ISLAMABAD, March 7 (APP): Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari
on Friday referred both the Anti-terrorism bills 2014 to the concerned standing committee after opposing by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) parliamentary leader Mian Raza Rabbani.
State Minister for Interior Baleeghur Rehman piloted both the bills,
the Anti-terrorism (Amendment) Bill, 2014 and the Anti-terrorism
(Second Amendment) Bill, 2014 in the Senate.
Raza Rabbani opposed both the bills and requested the chair to refer
the same to the concerned committees for further deliberation.
The Minister said that he has no objection to send the bills to the committee. However, these should be passed in larger national interest,
he said.
