Met Office forecast rain for Upper KP, Kashmir, GB

 PESHAWAR, Mar 7 (APP): The Met Office Friday forecast rain-thunderstorm
with light snowfall over the hills at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kasmir during next 24 hours because of shallow westerly trough affecting upper parts of the country.
 According to Met Office, a shallow westerly trough is affecting upper
parts of the country and is likely to persist during next 24 hours.
 As a result of this Weatherly system, mainly cold and dry weather is
expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm
with light snow over the hills is expected at isolated places of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Gujranwala, Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, D.G. Khan, D.I. Khan, Sargodha and Multan divisions during next 24 hours.
 Light snowfall is also expected in Malam Jabba, Kalam valleys in Swat
and rain is likely to lash tourists destinations like Nathia Gali, Ayubia and Donga Gali in Abbottabad district. The weather of Peshawar and Parachinar will remain partly cloudy while rain is expected in Abbottabad, Malakand, DI Khan and Swat.
 In next 48 hours, the weather would mainly cold and dry in most
parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm with light snow over the hills is expected at isolated places of Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Malakand division.
 The weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country. However
rain-thunderstorm with snow over the hills occurred at isolated places of Peshawar, Zhob, Sargodha, Quetta, Kohat and D.G. khan divisions in last 24 hours. The maximum rain was received by Parachinar 51mm followed by Joharabad 5mm, Zhob 3mm, Quetta 2mm and Kohat, Chirat, D.G. Khan 1mm.
 Whereas minimum temperature was recorded at Astore -07C, Sakardu -05C,
Hunza and Kalam -02C while pollen count yesterday remained as 83 per m3 of air.
