Thailand expertise to be followed to crub dengue'

 LAHORE, Jan 3 (APP): Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute
and LGH, Prof. Dr. Tariq Sallahuddin has said that prevention and cleanliness are better than cure and this principle is only way
to avoid dengue.
 Presiding over a meeting of LGH administration, he said
that Pakistani medical experts' visit to Thailand regarding
dengue virus training had been proved very successful.
 The LGH administration will follow the Thailand model
while preparing strategy to curb dengue virus, he added.
 He said that a daily period had been fixed for students
at LGH nursing school in which they would be trained how to
educate patients especially women about preventive measures
against dengue. He said that there would be cleanliness week
after every three months at LGH which would be participated
by all the staff.
  Dr. Tariq Sallahuddin said that recommendations to
combat with the dengue in the light of observations and
training experience at Bangkok would soon be submitted
to the Punjab government.
