No U.S. Consulate personnel kill in terrorist attack in Peshawar: US embassy
ISLAMABAD, Sep 3 (APP): U.S. Embassy while commenting on the terrorist attack in Peshawar on Monday confirmed that a vehicle belonging to U.S. consulate in Peshawar was hit in an apparent terrorist attack but denided that any consulate personnel was killed in this incident. Commenting on the incident, the U.S. embassy quoted the statement issued by Spokesperson Department of State Toria Nuland, to confirm the incident that the U.S. Consulate vehicle was hit in this terrorist attack. The statement further stated that two U.S. personnel and two Pakistani staff of the Consulate were injured while no U.S. Consulate personnel were killed. Following statement has been issued by the U.S. embassy quoting the statement by Department of State Spokesperson Ambassador Toria Nuland: "We can confirm that a vehicle belonging to the U.S. Consulate in Peshawar was hit in an apparent terrorist attack. Two U.S. personnel and two Pakistani staff of the Consulate were injured and are receiving medical treatment. No U.S. Consulate personnel were killed, but we are seeking further information about other victims of this heinous act. We stand ready to work with Pakistani authorities on a full investigation so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice."
