Turkish military delegation calls on Secretary, Defence Production

     ISLAMABAD, Sep 5 (APP): A Turkish military delegation led by Deputy
Chief of Turkish General Staff, General Hulusi Akar along with Turkish
Ambassador to Pakistan, Mustafa Babur Hizlan called on Secretary, Ministry of Defence Production, Lt. Gen (R) Shahid Iqbal here on Wednesday.
     The delegation, currently visiting Pakistan to participate in the 8th
High Level Military Dialogue group meeting, discussed matters of bilateral
importance during the meeting.
     Views on both sides were exchanged on promoting defence cooperation in
industrial sector. This will further open avenues for joint collaboration.
     Both sides also discussed matters of regional security and importance
of an upgraded and hi-tech system of defence and defence production.
     The Turkish delegation also attended Defence Industrial Working Group
meeting at the Ministry of Defence Production today.
     The session was jointly presided by Additional Secretary Maj. Gen Tariq
Rashid Khan and his Turkish counterpart.
     Turkish delegates were briefed on the importance of defence production
in the current regional and global security environment.
     The 8th high level military dialogue group meeting concluded here at
the Ministry of Defence.
     The minutes and proceeding of the event have been signed.
