Rehman announces withdrawal of case against journalists in Quetta

      ISLAMABAD, Oct 2 (APP): Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik
on Tuesday announced withdrawal of a case registered against
journalists in Quetta.
      He directed Provincial Home Secretary to arrest killers of
a journalist of a private news channel in Khuzdar and also announced
Rs. 2.5 million award for the person who would provide information
leading to arrest of killers of a journalist. His name would be kept
secret, he added.
     Rehman Malik said the government believes in freedom of
media and it would continue facilitating the media to flourish in
the country.
     Meanwhile, different journalists associations have hailed
withdrawal of case against journalists announced by Minister for
Interior.
