Senate body expressing displeasure over absence of Secretary
postpones meeting for one day

      ISLAMABAD, July 2 (APP): Senate Standing Committee on Housing
and Works, Monday expressed concern over the absence of Secretary
Housing and Works and postponed briefing about the Ministry and
Estate Office with the list of out-of-turn allotments during last
five years.
      The Committee met here under the chairmanship of Shahi Syed.
Members of the committee Suriya Amiruddin, Farhat Abbas, Saeedul
Hassan Mandokhel, Saleh Shah, Mustafa Kamal, Muhammad Zafarullah
Khan, Hamza, Syed Zaffar Ali Shah and Molana Muhammad Khan Sheerani
were also present in the meeting.
      Shahi Syed said that Secretary should be present in the
meeting as he was chairing his first committee meeting and
added alleged that the response of ministry was also not
encouraging.
      Member of the Committee Saeedul Hassan Mandokhel said that we
are not NAB, we are sitting here to sove problems and to help the
ministry.
      Earlier, An official from the Ministry of Housing and Works
told the committee that Secretary could not attend the meeting
because of illness and he would appear before the committee on July
4.
