Widespread rain forecast for three days
ISLAMABAD, Sept 6 (APP): The Met Office on Thursday forecast widespread rain for next three days because of strong monsoon currents continuously penetrating the country.
Widespread rain with scattered heavy falls is expected to generate
flash floods in the vulnerable areas of the country.
In the Federal Capital and Punjab, widespread rain as well as
thundershowers with scattered heavy falls, at times very heavy, is expected from Friday to Sunday. Heavy rains may cause flash floods in the D.G. Khan division and adjoining areas during this period.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, widespread rain/thundershowers with scattered heavy falls is expected during next three days. Heavy rain will cause flash floods in central and lower parts of the province, including Kohat, Peshawar, D.I.Khan and Bannu divisions.
Scattered rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls is expected in eastern parts of Balochistan on Friday and Saturday. Heavy rains
may cause flash floods in northeastern parts of the province, including Zhob, Sibbi and Nasirabad divisions.
In Sindh, scattered rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls is
expected on Friday and Saturday while in Kashmir widespread rain and
thundershowers with isolated heavy falls is expected for next three days. Rain may trigger landslides in the vulnerable areas.
Similarly in Gilgit-Baltistan, scattered rain is also expected from Friday to Sunday.

Singh 52mm , Padidan 49mm, Peshawar (Civil) 39mm, Jhang 38mm, Sialkot (AP) 34mm, Murree 29mm, Balakot 28mm, Benazirabad 27mm, Larkana 26mm, Lower Dir & Dir 23mm, Sibbi 22mm, Rawalkot 21mm, Multan, Kakul & Khuzdar 19mm, Moenjodaro 15mm, Kotli & Badin 14mm, Bannu 13mm, Malamjabba 12mm, Sialkot 11mm, Rawalpindi 10 mm.
