Massive traffic jams hit Lahore
LAHORE, Sept 11 (APP): Massive traffic jams occurred
throughout the city on Tuesday over construction
for the metro bus project.
The main points where traffic halted included Canal road,
FC underpass, Jail road, Jail road underpass and Mall underpass.
Citizens faced immense problems in reaching their
destinations and they had to take detours.
Talking to this scribe, Muzammal who was stuck
in traffic on Jail road with his family, said that it was almost two
hours and he had not yet reached the Canal underpass from
Shadman. He said traffic wardens were handling traffic
but they were unable to control the heavy flow.
Ambulances were stuck in the traffic and school vans
with children were also trapped. Alternative routes were
also packed and people were in bad temper.
People demanded the provincial government take notice
of routine traffic mess and make a comprehensive
plan for smooth traffic.
