Migrated to Pakistan in 1947 suffered in the refugee camp for more than a year. First settled in village maraca and worked on Multan road, as a labourer then shifted to Toba Take Sing where worked as a Kooli as at Railway Station& also as a part time labourer at a tea stall. Again joined the District Board High School Toba Take Singh in class 5. Stood first in the middle examination in 1953. was offered talent scholarship for Lawrence College Khora Gali but could not avail, did matriculation in 1955 and again stood first in school. Joined Government College Lahore in 1955 on Government scholarship. Did his B.A. honour in English in 1959. then joined Law College Punjab University Lahore and did LL.B. in 1961. Appeared in CSS examination in 1962 & being successful joined the Police Service of Pakistan in 1963 as ASP. Was trained in East Pakistan (Bangladesh) remained posted in all the provinces of Pakistan in various capacities he was SSP Rawalpindi & SSP Lahore in most difficult times. He has serviced Pakistan Narcotics Central Board, FIA, Intelligence Beauro & headed the special branch Punjab. He remained IG Police Punjab from 1991 to 1993 & super annuated in 1997. after has retirement he started writing articles, books & Columns in the all leading news papers in the light of his rich & practical experience.
His books like “The Ultimate Crime, Kasht-e-Viran, Mata-e-Faqir & Nawaz Sharif” became the best seller & broke all records of popularity. His columns have been compiled in the form of a book “Khial der Khial” in 2 vol. & contain pearls of practical, wisdom. He is an ardent advocate of the philosophy of Allama Iqbal & Quaid & serious in the democratic process enthusiastically.

He is very vocal & logical critic of the misdeeds of the blundering generals in Pakistan. The central thoughts of all his writing revolves about the evil consequences of various marshal laws, which he thinks the basic & mother cause of all social, economic & moral evil, in Pakistan.
