Iranian Culture Week held in Netherlands

TEHRAN, (MILLAT ONLINE/APP/MNA): Iranian Culture Week is currently underway
at Iran-Netherlands Trade and Cultural Center (INTCC) in the western Dutch city of Leiderdorp.
The Iranian Culture Week is being held at Iran Netherlands Trade and
Cultural Center (INTCC) which was established by the private sector in September 2016 as the first of its kind in Europe and seeks to introduce and supply Iranianproducts including handicrafts, furniture, carpet and potteries in the Netherlands.
The cultural event which opened in the city of Leiderdorp was attended
by Iranian Ambassador to The Hague, Alireza Jahangiri, and Leiderdorp mayor Laila Driessen-Jansen.
A number of foreign ambassadors and diplomats from various countries
including Iraq and Bangladesh, Dutch artists, Iranian expats and others
interested in Iranian art and culture were also present during the opening
ceremony.
Speaking at the event’s opening, the mayor of Leiderdorp highlighted
therole of art and culture as a bridge connecting nations to one another, adding that the INTCC and the various cultural programs held at the center further cement this bridge between the two countries.
She also expressed hope that such cultural events will help bring the
two Iranian and Dutch nations closer to one another.
The Iranian Culture Week will last until 19 April at the INTCC. The
programs include live performance of various Iranian music, miniature, mosaic,pottery, Khatam (a version of marquetry), metal fabrication, weaving, etc.
