ANKARA, July 16 (APP/AFP) – A strong explosion was heard in the
Turkish capital on Friday after the army said it had seized power and declared martial law and a curfew, AFP journalists reported.
It was not immediately known what caused the explosion but jets
that had been present in the skies throughout the late evening were still flying over Ankara.
